The items listed below are some of the features we feel make it the best manufacturing system available for the footwear industry. SHOEPACK was designed from the ground up to handle real-time MRP, this is not something that can be successfully added in at a later date as a modification or improvement to an existing system.
Dynamic real-time MRP: Running 24/ 7 the MRP re-calculates the changes in requirements as and when they happen. We don’t believe there is another product in the world that does this. It is important to note that our MRP takes into consideration:
|
| |
1. Existing stock 2. Outstanding purchase orders 3. Existing requirements 4. Safety stock 5. Size of finished product and raw materials
|
6. Sub-assemblies 7. Lead times 8. Production throughput time 9. Production calendar 10. Loss percentages |

Yield by size on bill of material, not average yields. Material by size on bill of material. A number of software packages claim to have MRP when in actual fact, all they have is a program that produces requirements based upon the sales orders received, not taking into consideration all the other aspects. Calculates right down to size level. We cater for an infinite number of sub-assemblies, all of which are taken into consideration by MRP. Automatic notification of critical material shortages. Ability to use different raw materials for each size of the finished product.
The bill of material allows variable yield by size and also the ability to use a grading percentage. Ability to combine small production orders on single production ticket. Purchase orders can be automatically generated directly from MRP system suggestions. Multi-line purchase orders. Multi-line sales order. Detailed transaction history is stored. Due to the storing of detailed transactions, historic stockholding can be viewed. Emailing directly from the system. Ability to store images against any stock item, use images on production tickets and various enquiry applications. System is fully integrated and has an open database so enabling connectivity using third party reporting tools. Detailed and easy to configure user access control. Flexible configuration, the following are all completely user definable:
|
| |
1. Stock types 2. Stock categories 3. Units of measure 4. Unit of measure conversions 5. Size ranges 6. Components
|
7. Scanning departments 8. Scanning tracking groups 9. Production overheads 10. Selling overheads 11. Production ticket sizes

Different stock valuation methods by stock type (e.g. raw material, finished goods). Weighted average enables very accurate control over stock value. Multi-currency. Items can be stored in varying currencies and all enquiries displaying values will show value in your selected local currency. Size ranges are not limited to finished products but also available for raw materials and any sub-assemblies of raw materials. Export of all enquiries to file or Excel. Reporting via ‘internet browser’ and printing to LAN printers simplifies setup. Software portable across various operating systems without re-compilation. Full record locking, enabling simultaneous multi-user functionality on all applications without risk of damage to data. No end of month lockdown where users cannot work, system is dynamic and all reporting can be performed at dates and times selected by the user.
Stocktake procedure enables re-opening of system after physical count is finished, whilst backdating the stockholding to the time the stock take was initiated. Supplier invoice allocation within SP2 and the ability to export the summary to an accounts package including the ‘chart of accounts’ breakdown.
